About Belmont

Belmont Residence is a new five-bed residential treatment home in the Portland area for adults living with serious mental illness. We're building a calm, well-kept home where every resident is known by name, with staff who care about doing this work well. We're pending licensure with the Oregon Health Authority and plan to open in spring 2027.

This is a chance to help build a program from the ground up, working directly with the owners.

What you'll do

• Run the day-to-day operations of the home
• Hire, schedule, train, and supervise direct care staff, and make sure there's coverage around the clock
• Keep the home in line with Oregon's rules for residential treatment homes (OAR 309-035)
• Lead admissions: review referrals, hold screenings, and make admission decisions
• Make sure residents get the medical care they need, and oversee medication practices
• Keep resident files, staff files, incident reports, and policies organized and current
• Coordinate with case managers, prescribers, families, and county partners
• Make sure residents' rights and service plans are honored every day
• Serve as the main contact for state licensing and fire inspectors
• Before opening: help prepare the home, policies, and staffing for licensure

What we're looking for

• Able to pass the Oregon criminal background check required for this role
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable with both paperwork and people
• Calm under pressure, with good judgment
• Genuine respect for the people we serve
• Available to work on-site. This is a hands-on role.

Experience (one of the following)

Option 1: More than one year of clinical experience, such as:

• Providing outpatient mental health treatment
• Working on an inpatient or behavioral health unit
• Working in a psychiatric hospital

OR

Option 2: Two years of experience in an OHA-licensed residential program in Oregon

Pay

• Until we're licensed: $150 retainer every two weeks. This holds the role for you while we complete licensure, and there is no obligation to work during this period.
• Once we open: $32.50 per hour, 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to work full-time at 40 hours per week
