The home

Comfortable, calm, and quietly safe.

A five-bed home in a quiet, residential Portland-area neighborhood. It will look and feel like a home, because it is one.

A day in the light

From morning coffee to lamplight

An easy start

Coffee, breakfast at the long table, and a gentle plan for the day ahead.

Out in the world

Skills practice, appointments, errands, and time outdoors in the neighborhood.

Home again

Dinner together, calls with family, and quiet hours with staff close by.

Inside

Spaces for privacy, and for togetherness

Rest

Bedrooms

A private bedroom planned for each resident, furnished with a quality bed, dresser, and storage, with a door the resident can lock. Residents are free to decorate and bring the things that make a room their own.

Nourish

Kitchen and dining

A full kitchen where residents help plan and cook, with food available any time, and one long table for family-style dinners.

Gather

Living room

A comfortable place to read, watch a film, play a game, or simply be in good company.

Pause

A quiet room

A calm corner away from the main living area for reflection, phone calls, or time alone.

Breathe

Outdoor space

Outdoor space with seating for fresh air, gardening, and quiet mornings.

Practice

Laundry

An in-home laundry room where residents build independence, with support whenever it's needed.

Safety

Safety that never feels institutional

A treatment home must be safe without feeling like a hospital. We are preparing the home to meet Oregon's safety, fire, and sanitation requirements for Residential Treatment Homes, and to pass state inspection before opening.

  • At least one trained staff member on duty at all times, awake overnight
  • Smoke and carbon monoxide detection throughout
  • Locked storage used only for medications
  • A posted emergency plan, with regular drills
  • Staff certified in first aid and CPR, and trained in de-escalation
  • Clear procedures for medical and mental health emergencies
The neighborhood

Close to everyday life

Community connection is part of treatment, so we are choosing a Portland-area location that keeps residents near the places that make a life feel full.

  • Close to public transit
  • Near parks and walking paths
  • Near grocery stores, pharmacies, and shops
  • Near libraries, community centers, and places of worship

To protect residents' privacy, we share the street address with families and referral partners directly.

Tours
